A man was seriously hurt when the ceiling of a building collapsed on him in Birmingham city centre.
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to a building undergoing renovations in Broad Street, near the Odeon Cinema, at about 1515 BST.
A man was lying on the floor next to a large pile of rubble, which his co-workers had removed from on top of him, it said.
The 49-year-old had been carrying out repair work when the ceiling caved in.
He had multiple fractures to his lower right leg and was given morphine to help relieve the pain.
He was then taken to the city's Queen Elizabeth Hospital for treatment.
