Three people rescued during Bilston flat fire

Three people have been rescued from balconies during a flat fire in the West Midlands in the early hours.

Four appliances from the Wolverhampton area went to Wellington Road, Bilston, after the fire service was called at about 0525 BST on Friday.

It is believed that people were treated for smoke inhalation.

The fire service and police were called over the incident at a three-storey detached brick-built property converted into flats.
