Two hurt in Hampton-in-Arden post office robbery

Two people have been taken to hospital after being attacked during an armed robbery at a post office.

West Midlands Police said officers were called to Hampton-in-Arden Post Office at about 0900 GMT on Monday.

Two masked men in dark clothing - one carrying an orange bag - went into the store, police said.

A man was hit on the head and a woman also hurt. Both suffered non-life threatening injuries. It is not clear what weapon was used.

The pair were taken to hospital.
