Birmingham riot victim's father Tariq Jahan denies road rage charge

A man who appealed for calm during the Birmingham riots has denied charges in connection with an alleged road rage incident.

Tariq Jahan, 46, from Winson Green, appeared at crown court facing grievous bodily harm charges from the alleged incident on 6 July last year.

Mr Jahan was praised by police after riots in August when his son Haroon was killed as he protected shops from looters.

The case was adjourned until 2 April.
