Man found in Willenhall park died of head injuries

A man found dead in parkland in the West Midlands died from head injuries, a post-mortem examination has shown.

Jagjit Singh Villkhu, 33, from Willenhall, was found dead early on Tuesday in parkland off St Anne's Road.

St Anne's Road remains closed between the junctions of Temple Road and Stringes Lane.

Police said two people, aged 28 and 25, are still being questioned on suspicion of murder. Two other arrested people have been released without charge.

Police said a 33-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman, who were arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, were released on Wednesday.

Det Ch Insp Andy Bullman said: "As part of this inquiry we are looking into a separate incident which is believed to have occurred a short time before Mr Singh died, in the Cemetery Road area of Willenhall.

"We believe an altercation took place earlier in the evening at this location and would urge anyone who may have seen this incident to get in touch with us."
