Man charged after 'nurse held' at Birmingham City Hospital

A 40-year-old man has been charged with false imprisonment after a nurse was allegedly held in a locked office at a Birmingham hospital.

Officers were called to an incident at Birmingham City Hospital about 15:15 BST on 7 April.

The man from Handsworth was set to appear at Birmingham Magistrates' Court charged with false imprisonment, West Midlands Police said.

The female nurse involved was unharmed, the spokesman added.
