West Bromwich factory fire causes homes to be evacuated
About 50 people were evacuated after a fire broke out in a factory in West Bromwich.
The blaze at Arrow Environmental Services in Kelvin Way was tackled by about 30 firefighters after West Midlands Fire Service was alerted at 13:36 BST.
Six fire engines were at the scene at its peak and people were evacuated to The Public art gallery.
The fire was put out at about 15:30 BST and no-one has been reported as hurt.
The cause of the fire has not yet been determined, the fire service said.
The service said later said it was "damping down and would be focusing on key hotspots", while the number of crews on site had been reduced to three.
The people evacuated were able to return to their homes and work premises at about 16:30 BST and all roads have since reopened.
