Small Heath: Arrests made over street attack

Two men have been arrested after a man was attacked in Birmingham.

The 22-year-old victim remains critically ill following the attack in Small Heath on Friday afternoon.

Police said he received life-threatening injuries during a disturbance between a group of people at the junction of Somerville Road and St Oswald's Road, close to a mosque.

The two arrested people are being questioned, and police are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.

The street was sealed off while forensic searches were conducted and officers are still patrolling the area.
