House roof partially collapses in Rooth Street, Wednesbury

A cordon has been placed around a house in the Black Country after part of its roof collapsed.

West Midlands Fire Service was called to Rooth Street, Wood Green, Wednesbury, at 06:16 BST.

Part of the roof to the double-fronted, semi-detached property collapsed, with around 200 bricks and debris falling on to the pavement.

One car was damaged, along with three telephone lines. A structural engineer is currently assessing the situation.
