Wolverhampton rubbish chute baby: Woman charged with attempted murder
A 24-year-old woman has been charged with attempted murder after a baby was found at the bottom of a rubbish chute in Wolverhampton.
Police were called to a flat in Boscobel Crescent at about 18:30 BST on Saturday to reports of a missing child.
Officers said the baby girl remained in a critical condition after being found in a rubbish collection area.
The woman is due to appear before magistrates on Thursday. A man, 32, has been released on bail.
He had been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender but has been released pending further inquiries.
