Boy hit and killed by lorry in Brownhills

A 12-year-old boy has been run over and killed by a lorry in the West Midlands.

Police said the accident happened near the Anchor Pub on Chester Road in Brownhills at about 15:30 BST.

The 61-year-old lorry driver is being questioned by police. The boy has not yet been named but his family have been told, police said.

The road was closed while officers investigated but was later reopened. The force has asked for any witnesses to get in touch.
