Man critically ill after Streetly pub fight

A 27-year-old man is in a "life-threatening" condition in hospital following a fight at a West Midlands pub on Friday evening.

It happened at about 19:50 BST at The Deer's Leap in Queslett Road, Streetly. The injured man was punched to the floor.

A 27-year-old man and a 22-year-old man were arrested at the scene, and both remain in police custody.

The pub will remain closed until Sunday for forensic examinations.

West Midlands Police is asking witnesses to contact them.
