'Cocky' Kings Norton cannabis dealers pose for photos
Four cannabis dealers from Birmingham have been jailed after police uncovered photos of them "cockily" posing with bags of cannabis and bundles of cash.
The images were on a mobile phone along with more than 60,000 text messages about buying and selling drugs.
A different phone had a photo of the gang crouched over dried cannabis leaf scattered across a lounge floor.
The men, from Kings Norton, admitted drugs offences and received sentences of between nine and 12 months.
At Birmingham Crown Court, Eugene May-Dyer, 24, and Russell Turner, 18, were sentenced to 12 months in prison for conspiracy to supply Class B drugs, while Ian Cunningham, 24, and Grant Barnhurst, 21, were jailed for nine months for the same offence.
West Midlands Police seized cannabis with a street value of £1,000, dealer bags, digital scales, and more mobile phones containing a back catalogue of text conversations between the group discussing drug deals.
CCTV footage was also taken from Turner's home in Green Acres Road, which showed the men "chilling out" in the shed they dried their cannabis in, officers said.
"Four young men who cockily posed for photos boasting of their drug dealing are now paying the price," said Det Ch Insp Andy Bannister.
