Walsall hit-and-run: Three people arrested on suspicion of attempted murder

Three people have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a hit-and-run crash which left a man seriously injured.

A fourth man was also arrested in connection with the collision on Hednesford Road, Brownhills, Walsall, at about 00:50 on 10 August.

Two men were hit by a white van while walking on the pavement near Thai Lanna Restaurant, West Midlands Police said.

A 42-year-old man remains in hospital with serious injuries.

The other man was treated for minor injuries.

The van failed to stop following the collision but was later recovered in Kingstanding, Birmingham.

A 24-year-old man from Erdington and a 17-year-old girl from Bloxwich remain in police custody and will be questioned on suspicion of attempted murder.

Another man, 30, was also arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and has been released on police bail.
