Work to start on Wolverhampton Interchange 10
Work will begin in the next few weeks on an £8.1m development in Wolverhampton, the city council has announced.
The Interchange 10 building, near the redeveloped bus station, will feature leisure and retail units as well as office space.
It is expected to be completed by the end of 2015.
The local authority approved the project in March and said it would create "hundreds" of new jobs.
Councillor Peter Bilson said it was part of a larger strategy to "re-energise" the city centre and help attract further investment.
"It's immensely satisfying to know that work will soon get under way on a scheme that's hugely important to the city," Mr Bilson, cabinet member for economic regeneration, said.
