A fire that destroyed a disused snooker club in Dudley was started deliberately, police have said.

About 40 firefighters were called to the blaze at the former Dudley Snooker and Pool Club in Stafford Street shortly after 02:00 BST on Sunday.

The fire service said the building was "100% alight" and people were told to keep doors and windows closed because of the smoke.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
