A pensioner stabbed to death in her home has been named by police.

Riasat Bi, 86, was found with stab wounds at her Aubrey Road home in Small Heath, Birmingham, at about 11:00 BST on Thursday, West Midlands Police said.

A 20-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and detained in hospital in Stoke-on-Trent in the early hours of Friday.

He will be questioned once discharged, police said. Officers said his injuries are not life-threatening or changing.

An 18-year-old man also injured in the attack remains in a critical but stable condition in hospital, the force said.

The address remains cordoned off while forensic experts examine the scene.
