Specialist teams have repaired Wolverhampton's main war memorial after it was vandalised.

Pink graffiti was daubed on the Cenotaph in St Peter's Square in the city.

A 15-year-old girl was arrested over the incident and later released on bail.

Contractors have been cleaning the monument ahead of Remembrance services next month. The council had said it thought work would cost at least £600.
