Crews tackle large fire at Bilston primary school


Firefighters are tackling a blaze at a primary school in the West Midlands, thought to have caused severe damage.

Crews were called to Wilkinson Primary School, in Walter Road, Bilston, at about 2145 BST on Monday.

A range of buildings were involved and one building was showing signs of collapse at 2315 BST.

Slow progress was being made at about 0635 BST on Tuesday when six fire engines remained at the scene, the West Midlands service said.
