Arson probe over derelict Wolverhampton school
- Published
A fire at a derelict primary school is being investigated as arson.
Police said the fire reported at 1420 BST on Thursday at Danesmore Park school in Ashmore Park, Wolverhampton, caused considerable damage.
Nobody was in the school at the time of the fire, it was believed. Ten appliances were sent to the scene.
Police were seeing if there were any links involving the fire and arson attacks at Wilkinson Primary School, Bilston, and the RSA Academy, Tipton.
About 75 firefighters were at each of those two schools, after the alarm was raised on 11 October.
Wilkinson Primary School was almost destroyed and a derelict school building at the RSA Academy was gutted.
