Two held after boy's death in Wolverhampton released

Two people arrested on suspicion of the murder of a 17-year-old boy who was fatally shot have been released without charge.

A man aged 22 and a boy aged 17 were held after the death of Raheem Hines-Thomas, who was taken to New Cross Hospital in Wolverhampton on Saturday.

Officers said blood was found outside a property in Orslow Walk, Park Village, on Saturday night.

A 28-year-old man remained in police custody on Wednesday morning.

The 22-year-old and the 17-year-old who had been arrested on Saturday were released without charge on Tuesday night.

A 20-year-old man had previously been released on bail.

A post-mortem examination carried out on Tuesday revealed Mr Hines-Thomas died as a result of a single gunshot wound to the chest.
