Stun gun used in Boston Spa building society robbery

Three youths have stolen money from a building society in Boston Spa after threatening staff with a stun gun.

Police said three males wearing balaclavas robbed the Leeds and Holbeck Building Society on the village's High Street on Monday afternoon.

They entered the building at about 1630 BST and threatened staff with a stun gun before stealing a sum of money.

The youths made off in a blue Ford Fiesta which was later found abandoned in the nearby Thorpe Arch area.

West Yorkshire Police said the vehicle had been reported stolen from the Hebden Bridge area in March.

The youths are said to be aged between 15 and 20 and were wearing dark-coloured tracksuits.

Anyone who saw them leaving the bank or abandoning the car is asked to contact police.
