Motorcyclist dies after road crash in Earlsheaton

A motorcyclist has died after falling from his bike and colliding with a HGV on a road in West Yorkshire.
Police said Kevin Western, 48, was travelling on Wakefield Road at Earlsheaton at about 0610 BST when he came off his Yamaha bike.
He was then hit by the HGV before coming to rest in the road.
He was taken to Dewsbury District Hospital but later died. West Yorkshire Police are appealing for witnesses to contact them.
