Man dies after car hits house in West Yorkshire

A 77-year-old man has died and a 10-year-old boy was injured after the car they were travelling in crashed into a house in West Yorkshire.

Police said the accident happened at the junction of Rochdale Road and Farnbrough Street, Walsden on Saturday.

It is believed the car had changed direction and crossed over Rochdale Road before colliding with the house.

The man, who was from the Manchester area, suffered severe injuries and later died in hospital.

His 10-year-old passenger was left with minor injuries.

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
