Alcohol strips to test underage drinkers in Bradford

Police in Bradford are using special testing strips to catch underage drinkers trying to conceal alcohol.

It forms part of a crackdown on alcohol-related disorders which is being carried out by neighbourhood police teams.

The strips can be dipped into liquid to confirm the contents.

Bradford licensing officer Su Dawson said youngsters were placing alcohol into bottles or cans of soft drink to hide the fact they were drinking.
