Halifax rugby fan attack police release man on bail

A 29-year-old man from Pontefract has been released on bail by police investigating an attack which left a rugby league supporter in a coma.

David Singer, 32, from Halifax, suffered serious head injuries when he was set upon outside Halliwell Jones Stadium in Warrington on 26 September.

The man arrested over the attack has been granted police bail, pending further inquires, until 15 December.

Another man who was arrested was released on bail earlier this month.
