Thieves in Bramley targeting Christmas gifts in cars

Thieves have been targeting cars filled with Christmas gifts in a part of Leeds by smashing windows and taking the valuable contents.
West Yorkshire Police said the gang had attacked five cars on Wyther Lane in the Bramley area in one night.
Their haul included i-Pods, cash, CDs and sunglasses which police said were worth hundreds of pounds.
Officers said it was disappointing that people had left so many goods on show in parked cars.
Det Insp John Dexter, said: "I appreciate it can be a hassle to remember to remove everything of value from your car every time you leave it parked up, but it's surely not as much hassle as paying to replace stolen items and get your car window fixed.
"It is a sad fact of life that thieves are on the prowl and see cars as an easy target."
