Police warned revellers rowdy behaviour was being targeted
Police have warned festive revellers in West Yorkshire that extras patrols are being deployed through the Christmas period to prevent disorder.
Extra teams of officers will be patrolling in Keighley, Bingley, Shipley and Eccleshill to help partygoers and stop troublemakers.
Police said they would also be focusing attention on Ilkley and Silsden.
Senior officers said some groups of women may be vulnerable because of the amount of alcohol consumed.
Officers will begin the operation to coincide with many companies and offices finishing for the Christmas period, which traditionally sees a rise in drinking in bars and a rise in calls.
