Appeal after man attacked by van driver in Huddersfield

Police in Huddersfield are appealing for information after a man was butted by a van driver in the town.

The 50-year-old victim was attacked after the van narrowly missed him as it travelled past the junction of Albion Street and High Street.

Police said the man had tapped the back of the van with his hand as it went by. The driver then stopped, got out and attacked him before driving off.

The incident happened at about 1150 GMT on 18 December, police said.

Witnesses are asked to contact West Yorkshire Police.
