Yorkshire bus passengers asked to lower music noise

  • Published

A campaign has been launched to make people aware of how loud their music is on buses in North and West Yorkshire.

Arriva Yorkshire launched the Shhh! campaign after passengers complained about music disturbing their journey.

As part of the campaign off-duty bus drivers will hand out stickers to people using MP3 players.

Chloe Leach O'Connell from Arriva said: "We are asking passengers to pledge to keep their personal music at a level that other bus passengers can't hear."

As part of the campaign a short film involving some passengers will feature on Arriva's website, YouTube and Facebook.
