A CCTV image has been released by police showing the moment a Bradford shop worker was forced to hand over cash by two armed robbers.

One of the men is shown pointing a shotgun at the woman in Worldwide Foods Al Halal supermarket on Great Horton Road last Saturday.

As the robbers fled, the gun was fired twice into the ceiling of the shop.

Det Insp Ian Bryar said: "The CCTV demonstrates just how serious an offence this was."

The robbers, who witnesses described as Asian, escaped with "a significant amount of cash".

West Yorkshire Police said they had decided to release the CCTV image in the hope it would prompt someone to come forward with vital information.

The robbers fled in a red Toyota Hilux 4x4 being driven by an accomplice.

Police said the Toyota was found burnt out near Scholemore Cemetery where the suspects are thought to have left in another vehicle.
