Fire crews have been working to extinguish a pile of burning tyres in the St Pauls area of Bristol.

Five fire engines were called to what was believed to be a building on fire in Bishops Street, at about 1930 BST.

The blaze from the tyre rubber caused a large plume of black smoke to drift over the area. One building has been slightly damaged by smoke.

Avon Fire and Rescue Service said the cause of the fire was not yet clear. No-one was hurt in the fire.
