Mobility scooter rider hit by car in Bristol

A man riding a mobility scooter has been seriously injured after a collision involving a car which failed to stop in Bristol.

The incident happened at about 1230 BST in Lawrence Hill at the roundabout next to the junction of Hassell Drive.

Police said a dark coloured Audi A3 S Line car travelling towards Bath struck the scooter.

The scooter driver - a man in his 60s - has been taken to hospital.

Police said the Audi is likely to have damage to its front and ask anyone with information about the incident to contact them.
