Stolen dogs are seized by police at Winterbourne
Eight dogs that were either stolen or suspected of being neglected have been recovered in South Gloucestershire.
Police in Filton, the RSPCA and a council dog warden carried out the operation in Winterbourne on Tuesday.
The RSPCA seized a week-old puppy of an unidentified breed, a German Shepherd and her puppy and two Jack Russells due to concerns for their welfare.
Two malamutes stolen in Bridgwater and a greyhound cross believed to have been stolen in 2004 were also found.
A police spokesman said the raid was carried out at a travellers' site in Winterbourne.
Officers also seized two pony traps that were thought to have been stolen in July.
An Avon and Somerset police spokesman said inquiries were ongoing.
