Boy, six, injured in Bristol hit-and-run


A six-year-old boy was thrown onto the bonnet of a car when he collided with a cyclist while crossing a road in Bristol.

The cyclist and the driver of the black BMW saloon car failed to stop at the scene in Stapleton Road.

The boy was crossing with his mother when the collision happened on Monday.

He has been discharged from Bristol Royal Hospital for Children following treatment. Police have appealed for witnesses to come forward.

The incident happened at 0815 BST on the one-way section of the road that runs alongside the M32.
