An 18-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a man suffered serious injuries in Bath.

A police spokesman said officers were called to reports of a disturbance in the St James Square area at about 0130 BST on Saturday.

The man, thought to be in his 20s, was found on the ground outside a block of flats.

He was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
