'Kidnapped' woman freed by armed police in Bristol

Three men have been arrested by armed police on suspicion of being concerned in kidnap after a woman was freed from a house in Fishponds, Bristol.

The woman, aged in her early-20s, had been missing for several days.

An Avon and Somerset Police spokesman said officers responded appropriately to what could have potentially been a very difficult situation.

"The operation in Oldbury Court Road was led by CID officers and the tactical firearms team," he said.

"We have three people in custody helping us with our inquiries and the woman is being looked after by officers."
