One thousand balloons have been released by family and friends of a missing Bristol man to mark his 50th birthday on Sunday.

Tim Fenner went missing from his home in the Clifton area of the city on 29 March.

The balloons, which were released from Clifton Downs, had a photo and details of his disappearance tied to them.

Detectives are continuing to follow-up several sightings of him in the Glastonbury area in Somerset.

Mr Fenner was last seen at 1230 BST on the day he disappeared.

He left work to meet a letting agent at a flat he had recently moved out of on Pembroke Road.

Mr Fenner attended that appointment but did not return to work as expected and was reported missing at 1930 BST that evening.

He was last seen wearing beige corduroy trousers, a beige jumper with a zip and a black hip-length coat.

Det Insp Andy Gwyther, who is leading the search, said: "Our efforts to locate Tim continue and we remain concerned for his welfare.

"I would urge anyone with information to get in touch as I know his family are very worried and keen to hear he is ok."
