A town in North Somerset has received a new lifeboat after its previous vessel was retired.

The Portishead Lifeboat Trust is leasing a new 7.5m craft, replacing the Denbar Sage which has been operational since 2003.

During her career Denbar Sage was launched 158 times and saved the lives of 11 people.

Denbar Sage was donated by Barbara Palmer, who received a framed picture marking the boat's retirement.

The Portishead Lifeboat Trust is a charity founded in 1995 and is funded entirely by donations.
