An investigation is under way after a bus caught fire on the way to its depot.

A Wessex Connect spokesman said the driver had noticed smoke in the mirror and pulled over at about 1000 BST on Friday.

The vehicle, which had no passengers at the time, was travelling between Hambrook near Bristol and the ring road on the Old Gloucester Road.

Firefighters were called to the scene and put the fire out.
