Mask and knife discarded after Yeovil stabbing

Police are trying to find a mask and a knife believed to have been discarded after a stabbing in Yeovil.

The injured man is in a stable condition in hospital after the incident in Westfield Road at about 2230 BST on Friday.

A 24-year-old man had been arrested in connection with the investigation.

Officers want to trace a light blue mask, described as a pillow case or surgical stocking with eye holes, and a knife with a 2 to 3in (5 to 8cm) blade.

They are also searching for a white Lonsdale hooded top and large black tracksuit trousers with zips at the bottom of each leg.

It is thought the items may have been discarded somewhere between Westfield and Ninesprings.
