Bristol drug recovery projects awarded £107,000

Five projects helping people recover from drug addiction in Bristol have been awarded £107,000.

Windmill Hill City Farm, The Severn Project, Barton Hill Settlement, People Can (Novas Scarman) and Addiction and Recovery Agency will share the money.

The money from the National Treatment Agency was awarded by the city council-run Safer Bristol partnership.

The schemes given grants specifically deal with reintegrating recovering users into the community.

Safer Bristol's Mark McNally said encouraging users to interact in their community was "vital" to recovery.
