Mechanic is crushed beneath ambulance in Bristol
A man has suffered severe crush injuries after an ambulance fell on him at a garage in Bristol.
The 22-year-old man, believed to be a mechanic, was trapped under the ambulance which had been held up with a mechanical brace which came loose.
A critical care team was taken by helicopter to the garage in Bedminster to help the casualty.
The man, who was taken to Frenchay Hospital, suffered injuries to his pelvis and torso.
A spokesman for Great Western Ambulance, who own the vehicle, said it was being worked on by an outside firm when the incident occurred.
