A car has crashed into a kebab shop in Bristol, leaving four people injured.

Two men and two children, thought to be pedestrians, were hurt in the crash at Marsh Lane in Barton Hill on Thursday evening.

A 49-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

The road was closed for part of the evening after the crash at 18:40 BST. Police said there was "substantial damage" to the shop and asked anyone with information to contact them.

One of the men and the children, aged 12 and 14, were taken to Frenchay Hospital.

The children are now home but the man is being treated for "potentially life changing injuries".
