Coalpit Heath homes plan refused by council

Plans to build up to 380 homes at a former coal mining site in South Gloucestershire have been rejected by a planning committee.

Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes wanted to build the estate at Woodlands Farm, Coalpit Heath.

The scheme included a local centre with space for shops, services, restaurants and other community space.

David Wilson Homes has declined to comment. The decision was made earlier at South Gloucestershire Council.
