Bristol bus collision man has died from injuries

A man who was hit by a bus in Bristol at the weekend has died in hospital, police said.

It happened on Quay Street in the city centre at 21:00 GMT on Saturday.

Police said the bus was being driven in the bus lane from the direction of St Augustine's Parade at the time of the crash.

The 46-year-old pedestrian stepped from the pavement on the driver's side and was hit by the front of the bus, a force spokesperson said.
