Woman sexually assaulted in Willingham

A woman has been sexually assaulted by a man who grabbed her as she walked on a footpath in Cambridgeshire.

The woman, who is in her 20s, was heading towards Rampton Road, Willingham, when she was attacked early on Thursday.

She was helped by a local resident who called police.

Her attacker is described as white, in his teens or 20s, with brown hair, 5ft 11ins and wearing tracksuit bottoms and a hooded jacket.

Police have increased patrols in the area and women have been urged to to take the usual precautions when walking alone, such as sticking to busy, well-lit areas.

Anyone with information has been asked to contact police.
