Two arrested over fatal car crash in Cambridgeshire

Two men have been arrested after a 19-year-old man died and an 11-year-old girl was critically injured in a car crash in Cambridgeshire.

Ali Raya Haideri, from Peterborough, died in the accident on the A47 at Thorney at lunchtime on Saturday.

Two men, aged 19 and 21, and a woman aged 19, all from Peterborough, received minor injuries.

Two men were arrested and bailed until 11 October on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

Mr Haideri and the injured girl were rear seat passengers in a Rover 25.

Police have appealed for witnesses and want to speak to passengers on a green and white coach travelling towards Peterborough at about the time of the crash near the A47 junction with the B1167.
