Boy charged over cycle 'hit-and-run' in Cambridge

A boy of 15 has been charged with assault after a cyclist collided with a pedestrian in Cambridge, leaving the man with serious head injuries.

The collision happened in April on a footpath on Jesus Green near the lock bridge.

The 31-year-old victim was walking in a group when a cyclist crashed into him and rode away.

The boy is due to appear before Cambridge Youth Court on 4 August charged with three offences of assault.

He has also been charged handling stolen goods.
