Jewellery shop robbed in ramraid in Peterborough

Two men armed with a gun and knives have ramraided a jewellery shop in Peterborough.

They drove a Vauxhall Frontera into the Sheralam Jewellers on Cromwell Road just after 1400 BST on Wednesday and threatened staff.

Their vehicle was found abandoned on Dogsthorpe Road. It is thought they continued their escape in another car.

One of the robbers was described as in his 20s, about 5ft 10in (1.78m) tall and stockily built.
